2degrees secures new home for 2021
2degrees has today announced it will shift its Auckland head office to 136 Fanshaw Street at the end of 2021.
The new building will be home to the telco’s 600-plus Auckland-based head office staff, who are currently in Newmarket.
2degrees CEO Mark Aue says the shift is more than just new bricks and mortar, and it marks a significant moment in the company’s evolution.
“We’ve outgrown where we are, not just in size but in the maturity of the company. We’ve been part of New Zealand since 2009 and our focus has been on creating competition and value in the market. We’ve excelled at that with our message resonating with Kiwis throughout New Zealand. So, our new home should reflect our position in market as we continue to grow.”
“This building will help our people work together more productively and creatively. We have a special culture here at 2degrees, and this building – and how it will allow us to transform how we work - will elevate that, which can only be good news for our customers,” said Mark.
The building is currently under construction by Mansons Ltd – New Zealand’s largest private property developer and is a third of the way through construction.
“We’re really thrilled to have 2degrees as one of the key tenants. They’ve done a lot of work with their people and have been committed to find a location that delivers it all– green spaces and gyms nearby, good transport links, and some of Auckland’s best restaurants and cafes just a stone’s throw away,” said director at Mansons Culum Manson.
“2degrees will occupy levels two and three with a total floor space of 5,200m2 – a quarter of the building – that’s a big commitment in the property market”
136 Fanshaw Street is due for completion late Winter 2021 and will achieve a Green Building Council 6-star rating.
