HISTORY OF OUR BUSINESS
In the beginning
2degrees was founded by Māori visionaries and Tex Edwards to challenge the unfairness in New Zealand's telecom market, aiming to bring fairness to consumers. Their entry into the market halved the cost of calls and texts, forcing competitors like Spark and One to follow suit. This disruption, known as the "2degrees effect," became a symbol of positive change across industries.

In 2022, 2degrees merged with Vocus, another challenger in the fixed and enterprise markets, creating New Zealand's third-largest full-service telecom provider, further reshaping the competitive landscape and standing for fairness and innovation.
