NETWORK SOLUTIONS
Traditional Wide Area Network (WAN)
Imagine Auckland’s road system as our traditional WAN. All the cars (our data) need to get from one place to another, but there are only a few specific routes they can take. Just like in peak hours, when there's a lot of traffic, it can cause a traffic jam and things slow down. Also, all cars have to obey the same traffic rules and lights, no matter if it's an ambulance in an emergency or just someone out to get fried chicken.
Software Defined Wide Area Network (WAN)
Imagine a super-intelligent traffic control system—this is our SD-WAN. Each vehicle is assigned the optimal route based on the urgency of its journey. For instance, an ambulance (critical data) takes the fastest path, while a fried chicken delivery (non-critical data) enjoys a scenic route. The system can even reroute vehicles during roadblocks or heavy traffic. With SD-WAN, Auckland’s traffic flows more smoothly and efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and reducing delays for everyone.

FAQs
SD-WAN, or Software-Defined Wide Area Network, uses software to control and manage network connectivity and services. It provides increased bandwidth, lower costs, and enhanced security. By prioritising traffic, it enhances performance and allows businesses to efficiently use and manage multiple internet connections simultaneously.
SD-WAN needs special computers (called "edge devices") at each location. These can be actual machines or just software. You also need a main control system to manage everything. Plus, you need basic internet setup like routers. So, it's special computers, control systems, and your regular internet gear.
SD-WAN is designed to work with any type of internet connection, such as ADSL, Fibre or 4G/5G cellular. However, to fully leverage the benefits of SD-WAN like redundancy, load balancing, and failover, it's recommended to have multiple diverse connections.
Look for a partner with a proven track record of successful SD-WAN implementations and experienced network engineers. Expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting a customised solution. Comprehensive support and service levels, including 24/7 support, SLAs, and proactive monitoring and maintenance.
