Help with MyRepublic broadband account changes
In this article
Why is my broadband moving from MyRepublic to 2degrees?
MyRepublic has exited the New Zealand broadband market, so all MyRepublic broadband customers are being transferred over to 2degrees. We think you’ll love being with us, having been independently voted NZ’s fairest telco by Kantar in 2024, with a fast and reliable network and a focus on customer service.
Is MyRepublic mobile being transferred over to 2degrees?
No. MyRepublic mobile services will stay with MyRepublic.
I am a 2degrees mobile customer, am I eligible to get a discount on my Broadband plan now?
Customers on migrated plans are not eligible to receive the $10 broadband discount. In order to qualify for a $10 discount on your broadband bill you will need to move to a current in-market 2degrees broadband plan. We have loads of fantastic options you can check out here. If you’re keen to move to a new plan, just get in touch.
What do I need to do to be transferred?
There is nothing you need to do on your end to transfer your MyRepublic broadband and related services over to us. You’ll receive a reminder via SMS and/or email a few days before the transfer is about to happen and again once the transfer has been successful.
Who do I contact for customer support?
Before the transfer has occurred, you can contact MyRepublic via live chat. Once the transfer has been successfully completed you can contact 2degrees for any customer care or service issues going forward.
Is my personal info being transferred to 2degrees?

There are no significant or adverse differences to the way your customer information will be handled by us. For more info on the 2degrees privacy policy, click here.

Will I see any changes on my bill?
In a small number of cases, you’ll notice that the individual charges that make up your broadband and landline bill have changed. This is down to differences between our systems, but the important thing to know is that while the monthly recurring charges that make up your total bill might be different, there is no change to the total amount you pay.
We’ll let you know if you’re affected by this change in the email we’ll send you once your transfer is complete.
Will there be any outage when I move across?
You should not experience any interruption to your broadband services. But if you do, please reset your modem/router by unplugging it at the wall, wait a few minutes and then plug it in again.
If this does not resolve the issue before the move to 2degrees has happened you can contact MyRepublic on live chat.
If the issue occurs after the transfer is successfully completed, then please contact us at 2degrees.
Will I need to change my broadband equipment or modem/router?
