How do I get the Free Data Hour?
Download the Data Clock app to get your Free Data Hour (on eligible* plans). Then, select and activate the free data hour everyday you want to use it. *Free Data Hour not available on $8 Monthly Plan
Does this use up my plan’s Carryover Data?
No! That wouldn’t be very fair, would it. Think of it like pressing pause on your plan’s data for an hour.
Can I use as much as I want?
Oh yeah! It’s a free-for-all. Though if you use over 40GB per month (which is seriously heaps) your speed will change to 1mbps^.
How does Carryover work?
Keep data you don’t use for up to a year. Better yet, there’s no limit to how much you can carry over. You can also stack up your gigs because our new plans use your monthly plan data before using your Carryover data each month.
Can I dish out Carryover data to friends and family?
Yes! Share it with the data guzzling kids or mates who need to book a ride home if they have a 2degrees Carryover Plan.
Are Unlimited Texts only to other 2degrees mobile numbers?
You can Text any NZ or Aussie network until your thumbs fall off.
Who pays the bill on a shared account?
The person who sets up the account will be responsible for paying the full bill. It’s the same as putting your name on the lease of a shared flat.
Can I split the bill?
You cannot. Unlike your favourite buffet, you’ll need to sort the bill out amongst yourselves.
How is the bill calculated on a Group Plan?
Easy. As an example: The person setting up the Group Plan pays for a $50 Pay Monthly plan. Every added member is charged $30 for their plan. So, if your group has three members, here's the math: $50 + $30 + $30 + $30 = $140

Yes! Unlimited* data means you'll always have a connection to use maps, check your emails and get a trip home.
Can I use my Unlimited Calls & Texts to contact Aussie networks?
Sure can! You can make unlimited* standard calls and standard texts to anyone with a standard number in NZ and Aussie.

It’s easy! Just pop into your nearest 2degrees store at a time that suits you. Because we need to have a look at your employment ID before we sign you up, we’re unable to complete the process over the phone or online. (For Teacher Aides, a teacher registration letter or Ministry of Education registration letter is required. This does not include student teachers as we already provide a student discount.
When you join us, you’ll see Kiwi Hero Plan price on your first bill.
If you’re already with us, you’ll see your Kiwi Hero Plan price on the first bill you receive after you’ve signed up.
Yes, you can have a Kiwi Hero Plan as the Group Plan leader and add Group Plan members, you can ask our Care team for more details.
No problems, since you’ve done your bit for NZ we think it’s only fair you keep the specially discounted Kiwi Hero Plan pricing for as long as you stay on an eligible Kiwi Hero Plan with us.
