Retired Business Carryover (3 April 2014) Plans Terms and Conditions
- These terms and conditions apply if one of the following Business Carryover Plans has been activated under your Business Account on a month to month or 12 month term prior to 3 April 2014:

- These specific terms and conditions apply in addition to our standard Pay Monthly Terms and Conditions and the Business Account Terms and Conditions and will prevail in the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the Pay Monthly Terms and Conditions or the Business Account Terms and Conditions.
- Capitalised terms not defined herein have the meaning given to them in the Pay Monthly Terms and Conditions and the Business Account Terms and Conditions.
- The rates and conditions below apply when you use your Mobile Phone (or other device) in New Zealand only and have subscribed to a Business Carryover Plan.
Minutes
- Unless otherwise stated in these terms and conditions, Minutes are only valid for voice calls to any standard landline or mobile in New Zealand and Australia.
- The Minutes allocation under a Business Carryover Plan will be pro-rated up to the Billing Date following activation of that Business Carryover Plan, and thereafter will be allocated on your Billing Date.
- If you do not use your full allocation of Minutes during your Billing month, your unused Minutes for that Billing month will be carried over to the following Billing month. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, these carry over Minutes are referred to as “Carryover Minutes”. Carryover Minutes (if not used) can be accrued for up to 12 months and will expire on the day prior to the first anniversary of the Billing Date on which these minutes were first allocated to you. During any Billing month, your Carryover Minutes (if any) will always be used before your Minutes allocation for that Billing month.
- If a Team Member consumes the Minutes of their Business Carryover Plan while they are on a call, you will be charged the standard per minute rate for the remainder of the call and for any subsequent calls in accordance with our Pay Monthly Standard Rates Terms and Conditions until further Minutes are allocated on your next Billing Date.
- Minutes cannot be used to make calls to premium rate numbers (for example 0900, 018), voicemail or satellite phones.
- All calls are rounded up to the next whole minute.
NZ Data
- NZ Data can only be used in New Zealand.
- NZ Data allocation under a Business Carryover Plan will be pro-rated up to the Billing Date following activation of that Business Carryover Plan, and thereafter will be allocated on each Billing Date. NZ Data is valid for one month, expiring on your next Billing Date.
- If a Team Member does not use their full allocation of NZ Data during a Billing month, the Team Member’s unused NZ Data for that Billing month will be carried over to the following Billing month. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, this carry over NZ Data is referred to as “Carryover Data”. Carryover Data (if not used) can be accrued for up to 12 months and will expire on the day prior to the first anniversary of the Billing Date on which this NZ Data was first allocated. During any Billing month, the available Carryover Data (if any) will always be used before the NZ Data allocation for that Billing month.
- If a Team Members consumes all the NZ Data available under their Business Carryover Plan in any Billing month they will be required to purchase a Data Value Pack to be able to continue using data services until a new allocation of NZ Data is made under the Business Carryover Plan on your next Billing Date. You will be charged for any Data Value Pack purchased by a Team Member under their applicable Plan.
- Data usage per session is rounded up to the nearest 5.12KB increment. Minimum data usage per session of 20.48KB applies.
Unlimited Text
- You will be charged at a 0 cent per text rate for all text messages sent to any standard mobile in New Zealand and Australia on each Billing Date for the term of your Carryover Plan provided you pay the applicable Plan Charge.
- Unlimited Text cannot be used for MMS or texts to premium rate numbers.
- Our Fair Use Policy applies to Unlimited Text. For the avoidance of doubt, Unlimited Text is only available for person to person use consistent with our estimate of reasonable use of this service (referencing standard and/or estimated customer profiles). We may take action if we consider your use to be in breach of the Fair Use Policy. Please ensure that you have read and understood our Fair Use Policy, which forms part of the Pay Monthly Terms and Conditions and is published by us at 2degreesmobile.co.nz/fairusepolicy.
Free Calling Group
- Zero rated calls can be made between Team Members under the same Business Account (Free Calling Group) provided that the Plan Benefit of those Team Members includes a voice entitlement (e.g. an allocation of Carryover Minutes). Free Calling Group is applied at a Business Account level only.
- For the avoidance of doubt, a Team Member’s Plan that is a Business Mobile Data Plan cannot be part of the Free Calling Group.
- Zero rated calling will not be available to a Team Member making calls to, or receiving calls from, another Team Member in the Free Calling Group, while the Team Member is roaming outside of New Zealand.
- We may suspend or bar your Free Calling Group if you have any outstanding Charges or any other overdue payment in respect of your Business Account.
- Our Fair Use Policy applies the Free Calling Group. We may take action if we consider use to be in breach of the Fair Use Policy. Please ensure that you have read and understood our Fair Use Policy, which forms part of the Pay Monthly Terms and Conditions and is published by us at 2degreesmobile.co.nz/fairusepolicy.
Free Voicemail Calling
- If the Business Carryover Plan under your Business Account includes Free Voicemail Calling, the Team Member belonging to that Business Carryover Plan can make zero rated calls to Voicemail.
- Where a Business Carryover Plan under your Business Account does not include Free Voicemail Calling, calls to Voicemail will be charged the standard per minute rate for calls to Voicemail in accordance with our Pay Monthly Standard Rates Terms and Conditions.
Business Bonus
- The Business Bonus is a discount on the price of a handset or other mobile device which can be redeemed at a 2degrees store or retailer.
- The Business Bonus is available on a 12 month or 24 month Business Carryover Plan. The amount of Business Bonus for each fixed term Business Carryover Plan is stated in the table above in clause 1 of these terms and conditions. You will be entitled to the Business on successful activation of the applicable Business Carryover Plan.
- For the avoidance of doubt, a Business Bonus is not available in respect of month to month Business Carryover Plans or for Team Members who are transferring their existing Plan or Service to a Business Carryover Plan.
- If the value of your Business Bonus is greater than the price of your chosen handset or device, or you decide not to purchase a handset or device, then you may be issued a store voucher for the amount of your remaining Business Bonus entitlement.
- The store voucher is redeemable on any item offered for sale in the store at which signed you up to the Business Carryover Plan.
- Store vouchers will be subject to the terms and conditions applied by the store that issued the store voucher to you. Refer to the store voucher or contact the store for further information.
- The Business Bonus is not available in conjunction with any other handset subsidy offered.
Changing your Carryover Plan
- Unless stated otherwise, you can change a Business Carryover Plan to another Plan made available under your Business Account (New Plan) any time by calling Customer Care, provided you pay a Plan transfer charge.
- The amount of any Plan transfer charge that you will be required to pay in accordance with these terms and conditions will be published by us on our website from time to time. See our Business Plan ETCs and PTCs Terms & Conditions for more information on Plan transfer charges for Business Carryover Plans.
- A change of a Business Carryover Plan to a New Plan will not entitle you to a new Business Bonus.
- The change of a Business Carryover Plan will be effective on your next Billing Date. Your Bill will be adjusted to the New Plan benefits from that Billing Date. We will apply your Plan transfer charge on that Bill.
- We may refuse to change a Business Carryover Plan to a New Plan if you have not paid all of the outstanding Charges under your Business Account.
- You are not able to:
- transfer from a Business Carryover Plan on a 12 or 24 month term to a New Plan on a Freedom Term; or
- transfer from a Business Carryover Plan to a Business Mobile Data Plan.
If you wish to do so, your current Business Carryover Plan will be terminated and you will be required to pay early termination charges in accordance with these terms and conditions.
