How to return an item if you’ve found a fault or changed your mind

If you’ve just bought a device from us – such as a phone, modem, iPad or accessories– and don't love your new purchase or believe it to be faulty, follow these guidelines if you wish to return it. There are different processes for a change-of-mind return or a fault return, so read on below to find what to do for each situation.

Faulty mobile devices bought from our online store

If you believe the device we sent you is faulty when you open it up then we may be able to remedy it for you and meet all our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act. Just call us on 0800 022 022 and we'll send you a courier bag so you can return it. If you’re a consumer, the processes set out here do not affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

If you have bought the device from a physical 2degrees store, please return to the place of purchase. If You’re unable to go to a store, please call our Customer Care line and we can send a return courier bag to you.

Please see the process that applies to Apple devices below. If an expert inspects your device and it turns out not to be faulty then we'll send it back to you without replacing it or giving you a refund.

If you buy a mobile device from our online store that stops working within the manufacturer's warranty period, just call us on 0800 022 022 and we'll let you know how what the process is to get it fixed. At this point, you may need to pay a bond to cover the cost of inspection by the manufacturer. If there is a genuine fault with your mobile device, you'll get the bond back and the manufacturer will repair or replace your mobile device as stated in their warranty terms. Warranty claims are also subject to the other terms and conditions that you'll find in the manufacturer's warranty that you'll get with your handset.

Faulty Apple devices bought from our online store

Please note that if you have purchased any Apple device and on receiving the device it turns out to be faulty or becomes faulty at any time during the manufacturer's warranty period, then that device will come under the manufacturer's warranty process. Please call us on 0800 022 022 and we'll let you know how you can get it fixed. You won't be required to pay a bond and if there is a genuine fault with the device the manufacturer will repair it or replace it with a remanufactured Apple device in accordance with the terms of their warranty. Please read the Apple manufacturer's warranty carefully. If you’re a consumer, this process does not affect faults in circumstances where you’re looked after by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
