Why is my Prepay plan changing?
We’re always lifting the hood on our plans and services to look for better ways to keep our customers connected.
That’s why we’re making some changes to some of our Prepay plans and tailoring our plans to match the evolving needs of our customers. It’s all part of our fight for fair.
And, with the flexibility of 2degrees Prepay, if this new plan isn’t for you, there’s bound to be another plan to suit. You can check out all the new plans here.
What Prepay plans are changing and when?
We want to make sure you’re getting the best value in town. Check out if your current Prepay plan is changing, and when, in the below table.

Data Hour: Max speeds everyday for 40GB/m then reduced max speeds of 1mbps. At reduced speeds your experience will be impacted. Free Data Hours expire each day if not used. Register on the Data Clock app for your free hour of data per day. See www.2degrees.nz/data-clock for details on registering for the Data Clock app. T&Cs apply.
^$85 Plan: Max speeds reduce to 1.2mbps after 120GB. At reduced speeds your experience will be impacted.
Note: Some of our other Prepay Monthly plans and 14-day Prepay plans are also changing. If you are on one of our other Prepay plans, we will let you know of the changes to your specific plan by SMS. Browse our current Prepay plans.
Do plan changes apply to all Prepay plans?
Prepay plan changes apply only to specific Prepay Plans. Check out if your plan is changing in the above table or check our current Prepay plans. If your Prepay plan is changing, we will be in touch directly by SMS.
If I don’t want to pay more, can I change my Prepay plan?
Yes, you can always change your Prepay plan once the credit on your current Prepay plan has expired.
If you have an old Prepay plan that is set to auto renew, make sure you stop the plan automatically renewing in the 2degrees App or by texting STOP and Pack or Add-on code to 233 before purchasing your new plan.

Do I Need to Make Changes to my Automatic Payment Prepay Top Up?
You may have one of these automatic payments or top-ups set up on your current Prepay plan - Autopay, Automatic Top Up (ATU), or Monthly Automation Top Up (MATU).
Autopay: If you have Autopay set up, you don’t need to do anything. Your Credit/Debit card will be charged the exact value of your new plan cost. More information on Autopay can be found here.
Automatic Top Up: If you have Automatic Top Up set up, check that the specified amount you currently have topping up your plan automatically when your balance goes below $2.50, is enough for any change in price on your new Prepay plan. Check out Auto Top Up here.
Monthly Automatic Top Up: If you have Monthly Automatic Top Up set up, verify that the specified amount you currently have topping up your plan automatically on the same day each month is enough for any change in price on your new Prepay plan. See information on Monthly Auto Top Up here.
