Getting started with 2degrees Pay Monthly
If you’ve recently signed up for a Pay Monthly plan with us, here’s the lowdown on all things you need to know in one easy-to-find location.
Know your plan
Bring your number
You can keep your current New Zealand mobile number when you join 2degrees, even the 021 or 027 bit. It’s free and only takes a few hours for us to get you up and running. Here’s how you can get started with bringing your number over to us.
Managing your account
The 2degrees App is the easy way to manage your mobile plan with us and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Use it to check your data, text and calls balances, pay a bill, set up sharing, change your plan and more. You can also manage your account online via My 2degrees.
Features of your new plan
Data options to suit your needs: Whether you’re a heavy-hitting hot spotter, or like to hoard your data, our Endless Data or Carryover Data plans have you sorted.
Simplify monitoring your spend: Make managing your bill easier by using Spend Control. Just set it up once and we’ll remind you when your nearing your limit.
Share your data: You can share your mobile plan data with up to 5 other people who also have a 2degrees Mobile plan.
Enjoy Wi-Fi calling: If you have a compatible device, Wi-Fi calling lets you use your plans mins and texts, over WiFi, even with no mobile signal.
Your first bill
When you first join 2degrees, we assign you a bill date. This is the date you’ll receive your mobile bill every month. We charge in arrears for Pay Monthly mobile so this means your first bill will be for less than normal, as it will be a partial charge from the date you activate until your bill date.
Then, your second bill will have your full month’s worth of charges from your bill start date.
If you purchased a new device on Interest Free repayments when you joined us, you'll get your first monthly repayment amount included with your first bill. This will be for the full monthly repayment amount, not a pro-rated amount.
Your new SIM
Whether you’ve got a trusty physical SIM card you stick into your phone, or you’re leading the charge with eSIM, we’ve set up handy guides for each.
